How do I book a room?
Fill in the form on this page and tap send in WhatsApp, or call us on +91 88999 00789. Your request reaches the hotel directly, and we will reply with availability and a rate for your dates.
Do I have to pay to enquire?
No. Asking about rates or availability costs nothing and does not commit you to anything. We will explain how to confirm your booking when you are ready.
Why are there no prices on the website?
Rates change with the season and with how full the hotel is. A single published figure would often be wrong, so we quote for your actual dates and number of guests.
When should I book?
As early as you can for the summer school holidays, the tulip season and autumn. Those are the busiest periods in Srinagar, and an early enquiry gives you the best chance of the view you want.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
We confirm these along with your booking. Let us know if you are on an early flight or arriving late, so that we can plan around you.
Rooms and views
What kinds of room do you have?
Four styles: the Family Room, the Carved Ceiling Room, the Emerald Room and the Classic AC Room. You can compare them on our rooms page.
Can I get a room with a lake view?
Tell us when you enquire and we will do our best. Lake views are from the front of the hotel, and upper floors see furthest. A guest wrote in a Google review that "The lake view rooms are just awesome", so they are worth asking for early.
Is the hotel suitable for families?
Yes. The Family Room has a separate sofa and tea table, the restaurant is downstairs, and the lake is just across the road. Tell us the number and ages of any children, and we will suggest how best to arrange your rooms.
What about Wi-Fi and winter heating?
If either matters for your trip, ask us about it for the room and dates you have in mind, and we will tell you what to expect before you book. Winter visitors should still pack warm layers.
The hotel
Is there parking?
Yes, there is space for cars in the forecourt in front of the hotel. If you are driving in a larger vehicle or arriving late, let us know in advance.
Is there a restaurant?
Yes. Boulevard Avenue, a veg and non-veg restaurant, is on the ground floor of the building.
Can you host a family function?
The hotel has hosted family functions. Send us the date, the number of guests and what you have in mind, and we will tell you what we can arrange.
Getting here and getting around
How far is the airport?
Srinagar airport is around 15 to 20 km away, usually 30 to 45 minutes by taxi depending on traffic. See our contact page for directions from the airport, the railway station and Jammu.
How far is Dal Lake?
It is directly across the road. Shikaras line the ghats opposite the hotel, and the lake is in full view from the upper floors at the front.
Can you help me arrange a shikara or a car?
Ask at the front desk. We can help you arrange a boat, and we are happy to talk through day-trip timings with you. Whoever you travel with, agree the route and the full price before you set off.
Will my mobile phone work in Kashmir?
Prepaid SIM cards from outside Jammu and Kashmir generally do not work here, while postpaid connections usually do. Check with your provider before you travel, and bring a printed or saved copy of your booking details.
Planning your trip
What is the best time to visit Srinagar?
It depends on what you want: tulips in spring, cool escapes in summer, gold chinars in autumn or snow in winter. Our season-by-season guide goes through each one.
How many nights should I stay?
Three nights covers the lake, the Mughal gardens and one mountain day trip. Five gives you a slower pace and a second day trip. See things to do for ideas.
What should I pack?
Bring layers all year, as mornings and evenings on the water are cool. From November to March, pack proper winter clothing and sturdy shoes. Always carry your photo ID, as checkpoints are routine on mountain roads.
